Dolce Nonna has its roots in my mother Maria’s victory gardens, where award-winning harvests went into her heirloom canning recipes. Little did she know that half a century later I would bring her bountiful flavors to the grateful palates of gourmets the world over.

Gisella Civale is the president of Dolce Nonna, a specialty food business based in Queens, NY. She created this company in honor of her mother, Maria DiGiorgio, and her authentic Italian recipes. One of seven children, her family immigrated to the US in 1958. After constantly being bombarded in the grocery store by unhealthy junk chock full of citric acid and preservatives, she decided to take action and bring the old way of eating back to the present day.
Dolce Nonna products are derived from old world recipes that are over 100 years old, originating from the Campania region of Italy, specifically the Amalfi coast.
Dolce Nonna uses only the finest all natural ingredients including: the highest quality extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, Sicilian oregano, garlic, spices and produce. Fresh premium eggplants, select red peppers as well as Chinese long pole beans are used which provide both a superb and unique crunch when bitten into.
